What is “Domain Parking”?

Domain parking refers to the practice of registering a domain name and pointing it to a placeholder page or an inactive website. Typically, this placeholder page contains ads or information about the domain. People park domains for various reasons, such as holding onto a domain name for future use, monetizing it through advertising, or preventing others from acquiring it. The domain owner does not typically create a full website, but the domain may generate revenue through the ads displayed on the parked page.
